The Weekend Remedy are a 5-piece powerhouse band based in the Manchester/Liverpool area, bringing the ultimate cure for ordinary nights! Who Are We?
Josh Borman:
Josh is an 18-year-old drummer and percussionist with a growing reputation for versatility and musicality. Having studied at LIPA Sixth Form College, he is currently continuing his musical training at the Royal Northern College of Music.
Over the past few years, Josh has performed in a range of ensembles, including the Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, Chester Big Band, Chester Wind Band, and various other bands and projects. This has led to appearances at prestigious venues such as the Royal Albert Hall (BBC Proms), the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, St George's Hall, the Cavern Club and the Floral Pavilion theatre, as well as performances at major UK festivals including Devafest and Camper Jam.
With a strong foundation in both classical and contemporary styles, Josh continues to develop as a dynamic and adaptable performer, committed to a future in professional music-making.
Jacob Kearney:
Jacob Kearney is a 19-year-old guitarist known for versatility and a wide-ranging musical style. Comfortable across all genres, Jacob has performed with numerous bands and ensembles, building a reputation as a dynamic and adaptable musician.
This experience has led to performances at notable venues including Chester Stadium, Chester Cathedral, Storyhouse Theatre, and the William Ashton Hall. Whether on stage with a band or in a more formal ensemble setting, Jacob brings creativity, technical skill, and a strong musical instinct to every performance.
Jacob and Josh also share a long-standing musical connection, having performed together since the age of 7 in their first band, CH2.
Cameron Aitken:
Cameron is a 17-year-old keys player currently studying at LIPA Sixth Form College, where he continue to develop his craft as a versatile and expressive musician.
He has performed as part of a wide range of ensembles, including the Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Session Orchestra, and has played at many prestigious and well-known venues such as the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, Rough Trade, and The Cavern Club. Cameron has also taken to the stage at top UK festivals, including Camper Jam and DevaFest.
With a passion for all genres of music, Cameron is quickly establishing a strong presence in the live music scene.
Lilah-Rose Bell:
Lilah is an 18-year-old bassist known for her versatility, groove, and reliability as a session player. With a strong background in both live performance and ensemble work, she has become a go-to musician for a wide range of projects across genres.
Her playing experience includes work with the renowned Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Session Orchestra, as well as numerous collaborations with bands and artists. These have led to performances at prestigious venues such as Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, The Tung Auditorium, The Cavern Club, and The Capstone Theatre. Lilah has also appeared at major festivals including DevaFest, showcasing her adaptability and strong musical instinct in both live and studio settings.
Leah Lawley:
Leah is an 18-year-old vocalist with a powerful stage presence and a passion for live performance. She began her musical journey in musical theatre, before moving into rock and pop, and now specialises in the rich grooves of funk and jazz.
Having recently completed her music studies at LIPA Sixth Form College, Leah has built a strong foundation in both contemporary and classic styles. She has performed in a variety of bands and musical projects, leading to appearances at renowned venues including The Cavern Club, The Floral Pavilion Theatre, The Capstone Theatre, and Rough Trade Liverpool. Festival highlights include DevaFest and Camper Jam, showcasing her versatility and energy across a wide range of audiences.
With a growing portfolio of live work and collaborative projects, Leah is an exciting emerging voice on the UK music scene.
